We are now expanding through going online and the new interactive website will be our platform to reach a wider audience and represent a wider spectrum of people. Empowering individuals with learning difficulties, in Wandsworth and beyond to have a voice, and speak up about things that concern them.
The new online news site can be used as a tool to help people with learning difficulties to learn or become more confident in using the internet and interact with others, through training and sharing experiences with their peers.
Word Up! is a volunteer led project and keeps striving towards their aim, to become a leading disability charity in Wandsworth. It is also about building a community spirit and helping other people to develop their skills.
Word Up! is unique because everyone can get involved, through writing articles, taking photographs, using the computer and much more. We’d like to invite everyone to send us their stories, news and pictures to on the website. Or why not write to us about something you want to get off your chest. We’d love to hear from you.
We want to grow, so everyone who wants to speak up, and have a voice in their community can and will.
There are many ways that you can get involved and contribute to Word Up’s growth and success; through contributing a story, volunteering or donating.
If you would like to get involved, please return a volunteering form and don’t worry if you’ve never done it before. We can help you.want to volunteer? Support Word Up! with a donation Partners & Sponsors
